it's because 1 or 2 guys can't win goldrush by themselves.

 

when tank blows doors all the axis ( except the rambomeds going to sk the allies ) camp the gold.. so there is basically the whole axis team spawning right by the objective. that's tough for 1 or 2 ppl to get through 6 or 10 axis by themselves.

 

walking into the axis courtyard you take alot of fire. many players are wuss and won't go down there, so even though everyone spawning at the same time and sticks together going down the hill toward the 1st tank barrier, at that point the allies usually get broken into smaller groups, so the coordinated axis defense just slays them.

 

like dare said if you get 4-5 decent players together that GO FOR THE GOLD instead of focusing on staying alive ( and therefore out of harms way, away from the objective ) it's not so hard to win.

 

that, or the allies get themselves whooped and sk for about 15 minutes, then a smaller squad of 2-3 players can flank the attacking axis and get into the bank, once axis is spread across the map instead of camping.

 

 

goldrush is hard tho. the tank barrier and the truck and gold being right in front of the axis spawn, you can't do it without spawnkilling at the right times.
