OK so this is for us old school techies. You guys remember Radio Shack? Well they were in the PC market way back when...

When I was in elementary school we got some of these bad boys in to work with. Here's a look:

I took a TRS-80 apart one time to try to fix it.  I found that it had two CPUs:  one for processing and the other for I/O.  I say "two CPUs" because the I/O chip was used as the CPU in other computers at that time.

 

It must have been the "business" model, as it came with about five brown binders of instructions on the unit and the various programs included with it.

 

Can you say "Killer App"?  No more Spread Sheets in chalk on the blackboard and automatic cell computations!  Woo Wee! :D
