Was expected, Juve didn't really have much chance considering their attack isn't smth that they would be famous for and mostly they weren't really a team that would be scoring a lot of goals average as well. Just sad to see that Real failed so badly this year, if only Modrić wasn't injured 3/4 of season, would of been complete other game.

What is the appeal of a club like Real Madrid? What makes you feel "attracted" to them enough to start supporting them?

I have been supporting Real for over 10 years, at the era of Helguera, Hierro and so on, long before Ronaldo or any of these nowadays players came, simply because at past they were playing attractive football with some of the players being favorites to me. For me this season was mostly bad because crucial players were missing most of the season, at the point where Real was playing amazingly at beggining of the season, but later on when Modrić got injured faded away.

Every person who cheers for some particular club have their reasons for supporting them, tho i haven't really started it because they are one of the top clubs around world and just jump on the bang wagon like 90% of Barca fans did when Ronaldinho came to Barca. I cheer for them in good or bad and if they fail, they fail.

If you started supporting them 10 years ago, at the Raul/Helguera era, I can totally understand it. What I don't understand is the recent crop of Real supporters.

It's basically same as recent supporters of Barca, at the time when Ronaldinho came to Barcelona, majority of ppl started to cheer for Barca, as that time they started to win trophies, before nearly noone cheered for them. Same for goes for nowadays recent Real fan base, most of the ppl get attracted by expensive signings such as Bale, Ronaldo, James, Kroos and so on, while at other side probably not even knowing any history about the club itself. I have done school project back at past, around 2002/2003 where we were supposed to represent one thing most favorite to us and i decided to do about Real Madrid that time.

Like they say, "plastic fans", could go for most of the "rich" clubs nowadays such as Barca and Real :)

Then what is your opinion of the direction Real Madrid is headed in? You can't deny it has become a bit of a circus, right?

In my opinion Perez is doing way too much mistakes lately, going by selling Di Maria last season was already a big mistake, same with Xabi Alonso, which was clearly seen this season, when they lacked entire time a good DM since Modrić was off. The "traditional" by Perez is to bring best WC player/shooter and thats what he did with James, even tho for me in my honest opinion hes not even worth 30mil, neverless 80.... he had no body strenght, no dribbling skills, no stamina or speed and is just average player, as for me Isco is at least 3x better than James.

The entire squad is just set too much around Ronaldo, too much balls are set for him and the game is forced too much on him, Bale is being boo'd by fans because they feel like hes underperforming but in my opinion he's not even capeable of showing 80% of his skills, when he has no space, no balls... same goes for Benz and most of the Real's attacks, that they try and play always on Ronaldo.

Isn't really a secret that he gets mad when he doesn't get pass towards him or even better, when his own teammates score, he does not even cheer with them. Simple stuff would be, bring some proper coach (which Anchelloti was) to set the egos into same line and only then u can actually start achiving anything, as long as everything goes around Ronaldo, i feel that Real will keep failing over and over again.

Already buying this season Danilo is a good thing, to give some more competition to Carvajal, but on other side, they lack that good DM, which they will try to gain with Casimero (lol own player being bought back from loan at Porto for 7.5mil €), but in my honest opinion, he's not that world class DM that Real needs crucial at this point, hopefully Modrić will be easier on the injuries next season and they wont be so unlucky when it comes to that.
