Poland dethroned Brazil as monarchs of men’s volleyball with an epic victory in four sets (18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22) in front of a crowd of more than 12,000 spectators at Spodek Hall on Sunday. Poland - Brazil 3:1.

Having Finals 10 klicks from my own House provided me with 3 hrs of fans coming back and singing victory songs...  I had no choice but get to a bar with them :DDD

Congratulations Poland, well deserved. It's always great to see how passion can win championships no matter in which sport. 

 

I'm not a volleyball fan, but a sports fan in general and always interested in coverage of any exciting event - unfortunately some Polish media cartel forbade the German TV to broadcast the semi final here in Germany so I missed out on that one... Money rules the world, and especially pro sports :(

 

Will be interesting to see Germany play Poland at the Olympics in 2 years, as our team is still developing. After seeing the highlights from the semis I thought Germany had a chance to beat the hosts, but nerves and lack of experience cost them.
