Ok guys I really want to know if configs help you move faster in gameplay.

I have a pretty good pc and connection. There are some guys that move really fast.

I am not saying anyone is cheating I am just wondering about tweaks and configs.

I run the game just as it came and want to get the most out of my gameplay. Like

anyone else, I want to be the best, as long as there is even playing ground for all.

Any addvice or thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks again!

Not really, the only thing that will help you run for a longer period is extreme conditioning. Other than that everyone moves at the same speed. the movement speed is on the server side.

FYI he is asking for COD4 and you are replying for W:ET. In W:ET there is "sprint"

Hey Buckshot, I remember you asking me the same question in game. I think I may be one of the ones you think run faster lol. I dont run any faster than you do, unless your carrying an LMG lol. I run the game just as it came except for changing some of the controls, no different configs, no perks for faster/longer running. I dont know what it is that you could be noticing.

If you increase your maximum fps, it increases how fast you move. Not drastically, but it does give you a slightly greater edge.

Can't remember the command, but you set the fps to like 200 or so and it should give you a slightly speed increase if you can reach near 200 fps in-game.

Adjusting your FPS can make a slight difference - that is true. However, apart from that slight adjustment everyone moves at the same speed (assuming they have the same weapon, and aren't sprinting). In game it may seem as if someone has suddenly moved faster than is possible, or seems to be going slowly. This is normally due to a slight lag spike either on their, yours or the servers end. That would result in them appearing to go oddly quickly from one place to the other. Obviously, that is just lag and people may get a bit lucky with it, but generally lag is more of a hindrance than a help.

On the otherhand, veteran players may sprint slightly at some moments whilst in a fire fight. If they are using an SMG or pistol, then this effect will be increased, making them seem as if they go unaturally quickly. Again that is just down to experience, and if you use that tactic (run / gun + SMG) enough, then you will appear to start doing it too :). I hope that helps.

Like Extreme Conditioning Perk in COD4, MW2 contains Marathon (Infinite Sprint) as well as Lightwieght (Quick Movement) Perks. I wish to see a MOD of similar class in COD4 as if you combine both perks together, you may stun your opponents...
