FireWienie
Earlier I was playing ET and my headphones were working perfectly fine. Around the evening I decided to play some ET but there was a slight problem. My headphones weren't focusing on the important sound. What I mean is if i shot in ET, no sound would come out but the other sounds (like footsteps of other fellow players and other people shooting) would be heard. I dont know why this happened so suddenly, if you guys dont understand I'll just explain it a bit more.
Leader RedBaird Posted July 28, 2014 Leader Share Posted July 28, 2014 Irrelevant post, but I'm leaving it here in case somebody searches for these terms. Any searcher can check the FA Tutorials, too. This might be it. See what your setting is. Cg_hitSounds (actually from Legacy-ET, but is the same) bitmask0 - none (default) (don't think this is jaymod default)1 - all2 - no team hit sound4 - no head hit sound8 - no body hit soundSome of my settings, which may or may not be "pro" settings cg_hitSoundType = 0 cg_headSounds = 3 cg_hitDirection = 1 cg_hitsounds = 1 ( = all ) cg_hitmode = 4 I will have to look them up later, time for zzzleep a little. FireWienie
Nice tips, unfortunately I'm not experiencing these problems on ET only. It seems like my headphones are jacking up altogether, and they were working perfectly a few hours before. Im experiencing a similar problem you YouTube. I search up Parkour tutorials and I could only hear the background music, not the person talking in general; proving that my headphones are not focusing directly to the main sound but only focusing on the surround sound. These have to be my headphones, but I dont know what is happening. I will try to get information about the headphones I am using as son as i can. Hustul
Play around with the insertion of the jackplug. Sometimes they work best when not fully inserted. Which headphones do you use?
