Barn!e
Hi, I am as popular as dog turds here but hey that's life..no? ( I could bore you for hours on that subject - I don't even teams hahaha priceless!) When I used Jaymod and Enhanced Mod together a few years ago there was a user.cfg or similar (you could prob name it yourself) that could force certain cvars. I notice that when I join Fun#1 cl_timenudge is forced 0 and some others too are forced as well. I really like that because you then know all players are not using laggy settings to be unhit etc.. Now I know that's Silent MOD and is not the same as Jaymod but as I say ENH MOD gave me that ability on a jaymod server. I am regular on beginners and I have noticed over the last few months an increase in players with ping varying wildly from 100 - 500 in many cases. Yet on doing /players there is nothing obvious and yet they are warping like a packets 15 player would and I think that's unfair. I have over 5000 hours on this game and I know when I am crosshair on head or not. Several players recently I am on their head and firing but they are just warping/lagging round the bullets. You guys have done a great job making the server in the main hax free, and I think that's why some people are trying other ways like lag to gain advantage. Just a thought. Have a nice day and happy fragging. Barn!e
devil*
BUMP. This is a great idea and I was going to actually start a topic about this until I found barnie had already made one. I know 30 packets is a minimum, and have been through the annoyance of having to try and correspond with players who cannot understand they need to change their maxpackets to 30, or they just don't want to which is exceedingly aggravating. I'm not very good with things like this so if there is a blindly obvious reason could someone point it out, because that must be why enforced cvars aren't already in place, or perhaps they have just been overlooked? Thanks and let's hope someone who has greater knowledge than me within this topic replies.
