My wife followed a cinnamon bun recipe, but they turned out pretty tough...

You have to let them proof............Rise Longer.............from the pictures........humidity is your friend!!!!!

Looks like a basic recipe.  Just needs more time to proof and rise!!!!!!!  ANd make sure your using the right yeast with at least 80 to 90 degree water when the butter is cold.....

Cool!  She said she's gonna try it again.  As for the humidity, it's pretty dry here on the prairies... 35% in the house right now.  So freaking dry here.

spray It with hot water every 5 minutes and leave a warm wet towel over it  they will get huge.

Well, she tried again, and same result.  They didn't rise. She found out why: the yeast is bad.  It's funny, since it's a new batch, set to expire in 2016.  She went and got some more yeast, and successfully made delicious buns!!
