If theres going to be a few .55ers who play here regularly then theres no reason to really switch over to etpro, while I dont like how the server feels at all and would love it to be etpro, id rather pay for a server thats always atleast semi populated and not empty. Hearing what happen to the last etpro server, and seeing our ndg etpro server always empty scares me away from it also.

After being on the server I have noticed that maps do not automatically change after a full sw cycle has been completed for one map and maps have to be loaded via vote. A stopwatchcycle.cfg is badly needed for this server to prevent this from happening. The one I have posted along with the server.cfg and server2.cfg will do this. Also the map times need to be adjusted as they are falling back to the default map times built into the map. For a box server running stopwatchcycle the map times should be adjusted to those of a 6v6 match. The map.cfg placed into the mapconfigs folder will take care of this issue.

Also, the shrubbot commands contain all the goofy commands that are inside the sound pack file on the Hardcore server but the sound pack is not on the server. I strongly suggest removing those commands from the shrubbot.cfg and not loading the sound pack file. I believe that the sound pack file contributes to some of the lag on the Hardcore server. And I would suggest not putting anything on the server that would need to be download except for the maps themselves, this will also cut down on server lag.

I cannot do anything about this except make posts here on the forum as my hands are tied and I have no access to address any of these issues. I have complete copies of 17 different servers all running perfectly on my external hard drive. Anyone of those server files can easily be adjusted and uploaded rather quickly (30 minutes tops) to create any kind of server (gametype 1,2,3,4,5 and 6) in etpub or etpro. I have been setting up servers and managing them both publicly and in leagues for nearly 5 years now and that is mostly what I specialize in. But all I can do here is offer advice based on experience.

Was playing on the sw server earlier, Got at least 10 people on, we had fun :D. SO here is my list of Ideas

Can we get xp level up for guns only, Then xp reset every round, Just Like On Wocen pub. - no

Map starting Automatically, so players won"t have to ready up. - yes

Set Land mines to 4. - make 5

!Putteam is not enabled - yes

1.Maby one of the reasons was that old etpro server was under password. I know that was on F|A members demand.

2.Since we have those baners:"for less lag update your Et to 2.6b" I think one big part has it updated.

I didn't mess with the shrubbot at all so I'll change them asap. Also, we use the scrim config pack that I made for all .55 servers. All the settings are built in and delivered so nobody will complain about the hitbox changes or anything since they shouldn't change. I've setup so many box in the past 2 years since every server admin of .55 wanted to have the best "box" server.

I wanted to apply the map config yesterday but I didn't got the time. I'll do that by tomorrow since it's really needed for the spawn time. For the weapons, I use the %. So it's based on the number of player. That way if we have 2v2 on the server I don't want a rifle nader. But as soon as we hit 4v4 it will add 1 rnader and so on all the other weapons 1 by 1. From what I've seen, people complain when they can use the "big" weapons when there is not enough people on and they complain when they can't take it when they have the right number of players. So using % is probably the best idea.

We use a stopwatch+vote lua module so we have to VOTE for the map. Yes it will automatically change based on the first loaded stopwatch rotation order but it will stop. They have to learn to use the vote during the intermission. If you don't vote for a map during the intermission, it won't change map. It's the same on both ETPub servers we have. I'll put a stopwatch config based on the maps we have but it doesn't work perfectly with the sw+vote.lua module since I change the gametype dynamically. So we don't use a pure stopwatch config, we vote during that time and that's what is great about it. We have the opportunity to do our own rotation and the players shouldn't leave because they don't like 1 map of the rotation.

For the paks, the scrimconfigpack is in there so the configs are available and the hitsounds at the same time. However we added a pack for the sprees and multikill. If we stop using them, then we should remove that pack.

Continue to make post here if you think something else is bad. I'll modify the settings as per demand and with the feedback of the users playing.

I knew your name looked familiar Thor. I agree with Thor on the cfg issues, I played on all these servers and help admin most of them, while these servers were set up for the competition .6b players the same type of gametype is what we need to copy. I will add the server ip to my xfire comment, and play there some with my xfire on. This should help bring alot of the old competition players on there some for fun.

The vote gametype isn't there for .6b. And a lot of players like the SW mod. So combining both of them is the best thing we can do since the players have the control of the rotation they want. All the config stuff Thor mentioned are fixed now. However the scrim package is still used. To be honest there isn't a lot of difference if we compare his config with my scrim package ;)

I mean gametype as in how players play the game. This server is trying to incorporate competition like stopwatch settings on a .55 server. Which I think is awesome, I'm glad to see your working on this aigle, keep up the good work.

Can spawn times be fixed, seen axis spawn every 20 to 25 seconds on alot of maps.
