Svart Rev Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Actually it's not a logic, but Russians call it 'Ñмекалка', which can be translated as 'savvy' 'headpiece' or 'mother wit' (thanks Google translate). 1 Quote
Midnight Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Actually it's not a logic, but Russians call it 'Ñмекалка', which can be translated as 'savvy' 'headpiece' or 'mother wit' (thanks Google translate). LOL. Actually I am amazed at the Russians that I have encountered in Vegas. Two specific instances: 1. While purchasing lumber for a project at work, I witnessed a Russian family (mother, father and son) loading a small chevy pickup with lumber and installation. The trucks back rims were weighed down to to the tire and they were trying to figure out how to take the insulation in one trip. This was a two person cab. 2. Just yesterday there was a Russian family at Lowes with this small Camry, or four door car. They were trying to fit a 6 maybe 7 foot tree in their car. Why not tie it to the top? And they are always wearing expensive clothes except the father, who's always in some, what we call play clothes. Clothes that you don't mind ruining. Quote
Svart Rev Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 LOL. Did I say anything laughable?.. Quote

Such as here in NH, it is the drivers responsibility if something happens to the load. But go across the state border to Massachusetts where it is the loaders responsibility (which would include where they bought the item) Quote

But go across the state border to Massachusetts where it is the loaders responsibility (which would include where they bought the item) I guess the point here was missed. If you know you are going to the store to buy a tree, would you not make the proper arrangements to get a vehicle it will fit in? And I am not saying that only Russians do this, everyone does. I was simply contributing two observations that I had made recently, in light of this topic. Quote
Svart Rev Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Yes, you used google translate. I've left all my dictionaries at home, so it was the most rapid way to translate it. Quote

I have to load peoples vehicles with the merchandise that buy. The cars they come with to try and pick something up. I had one customer buy a 60" TV and come with a Smart Car to pick it up. Or they come with a mini-van to pick up a pool table. Which is fine, it'll fit, but they brought 7 other people! lol Quote
