Hey.

 

Here I have Capuzzo Airport beta 4 version. This has been tested only once now. This is a closed test version limited to few servers. Hopefully this is almost final version. It would be very nice if you could run it please. :)

Beta2/3 were running without bugs that I know.

Special attention (recent changes):

-Tank functionality
-Follow console for any errors
-Shaders, textures, sounds and models and names generally could be wrong/missing. My eyes and ears are getting sore of looking for them. Renamed multiple of those to save a bit on netcode.
 

List of changes

Beta 2

  -2 megs smaller pk3
  -Added cave spawn for Allies
  -Roundlimit starts with 10 mins and +5 mins at each stage (total 30)
  -Radio transmitting time doubled
  -New spawntimes
  -Barriers now require +50% chargebar to be constructed
  -Moved the city spawn few meters further away from Barrier1
  -Moved Barrier2 few meters closer to allies
  -Moved CP house few meters closer to Airport
  -Some small changes to improve access
  -Little mountain edit at the map start
  -Radio trigger is easier to press
  -Added some lights
  -Closed down a house at Airport
  -Improved palm clipping
  -Rocks have 100% accurate clipping
  -Some new details
  -Added little variety on terrain
  -Added a wooden bridge over barrier1 to fight trickplanting

Beta 3

  -Some minor bug fixes
  -More signs for navigation (+moved antenna near radio)
  -Changed objective numbers
  -Roundlimit starts with 15 mins, get 15 min more after barrier2
  -Radio transmitting time is now 45 secs
  -Radio button improved
  -Fixed tank road mine bug
  -Greater roof access
  -Removed a couple doors
  -Greater radio room access

Beta 4

  -Shortened many sound, shader and model names to save couple configstrings on networking
  -Ladders on water tanks
  -Inside light and detail pass
  -Tank sound bug fixed
  -Antenna and radio light when transmitting
  -Improved signs

I'm currently working on trying to improve the FPS a bit more. Next version might be in a week or a bit more.

 I have added the map on our beginners #2 server which is a mix of omni-bots and players. If you get stable FPS with 30+ omni's map is good.

 

I would ask our members to play that map and provide the constructive feedback for good game play and report issues if any. 

 

We will soon move it to other servers once map is reported to be stable after one or 2 times it's played on beginners #2 server.

I was able to play at 30fps stable. the only bug i noticed is when playing on axis and the allies take the objective, the axis announcer's audio clip glitches out. there are three things he seems to try to say:

 

"don't let them request"

"they are requesting"

"they have requested"

"they have destroyed"

 

the announcer will say these phrases but then glitch out and say "firing for eff", then it sounds like another clip starts to play and you just hear the static at the beginning/end of the voice clips (the sound the talk button on a two way radio being pressed/released).

 

hope that makes sense, i can try to get a demo posted if not. :)

Hmm thanks for reporting. I don't have this bug. Is it one time only or does it happen all the time? Something with the mod or? :(

i'll try to post a demo if i can get allies to play the objectives. since the bots don't do anything its hit or miss whether or not someone is actually trying to win.

 

i'm running this on lubuntu, i haven't verified the bug on my windows computer yet.
