So I got this program called System Mechanic so I can keep my CPU clean and running faster.  Works great, however, every time I use it, my xfire will not open.  Any ideas?

Never used System Mechanic, however would a reinstall be out of the question? (Of xfire, not sys mech)

Looks to be a registry cleaner program. Is it deleting registry keys Xfire needs to operate?

I don't trust any other registry cleaning software but CCleaner to handle my PC. I suggest you either use some other software(like the one I mentioned), or re-install xfire.

you might simply be able to exclude xfire from the clean/scans performed.
