CHRIS ROBERTS IS BACK!

The man behind Wing Commander, Privateer, Strike Commander, Starlancer, Freelancer and more has assembled an elite team of industry veterans to build the Space Sim that we've all dreamed of: Star Citizen. With Chris at the helm, players can rest assured that they are supporting a game that will immerse them in a science fiction universe like nothing before.

 

Holy Crap, didn't notice till now but Chris Roberts is working on a new game!

 

He is the guy who developed some ground breaking classics like the Wing Commander, Privateer and Strike Commander series. The oldies here will sure remember them. He also teamed up some of the former team members which participated in the development of Wing Commander. The game is financed through crowd funding and budget reached 13 Mio dollar by now. They are using CryEngine 3 and it will be a PC only title, so no compromises will have to be made for console compatibility. This will be awesome can't wait for it :yahoo

And for those who didn't know and like those kind of games, particularly Wing Commander, there is a very good fan project called Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn. It reaches easily the quality of a fullprice game but is free to play. http://www.wcsaga.com/
