I like the Assassain's Creed franchise and have played every game thus released wheter through console or pc.  I was very disappointed and bored with AC3.  The story lines were too long, the action was dull and in entirety the game was just boring.  Maybe it is because I don't care about the history frame it is in or maybe it was through the console (I'm a PC gamer).  Needless to say impression usually leave lasting effects.   Thus said, I am hoping that AC4 is better (it has pirates) but I also dread it.  It means a lot of boats and that is not my thing.  I think they need to go back to long ago history, like the first AC and the Revelations and Brotherhood.  It was more enjoyable and felt appropriate.  I am not going to get the 4th installment, but may give it a try.
