Yesterday i bought cod4. So now before i start playing it online i would like to know some basics abou weapons and gamw styles etc

Don't stand, crouch or lay prone in a doorway!

Re-load often.

Throw nades before you die.

Spread out from your teammates but not so far that you can't support them.

I would say, stick to the m16 and m4, pretty much the best two assault rifles in the game. M16 is burst fire, but insanely accurate, m4 is almost as accurate, but full auto. Don't waste your grenades, and constantly watch your corners! Take it slow, don't rush yourself (sprinting too often in this manner causes many humiliating deaths). Before reloading, make sure the area is clear so you aren't killed while reloading. Keep in cover as often as possible, running around in the open will only get you killed! Check out the Abnerdog server on the 1.6 patch (Many members here can show you how to get the patch), as it is not over-crowded, and doesn't have cheap stuff like grenade launcher and last stand. Our servers don't allow martyrdom, so don't even think about using it. Hope to see you in-game!
