Don't think a .38 Special is the preferred choice of "gangbangers". Clearly this guy is still living in the 80's & 90's.... and maybe in the 60's. I would love to have a world without guns, but that isn't going to happen. While they quote many pre-1960's laws and incidents, you have to keep in mind the mindset of those times. The checkboxes on the background check form? Well...... those are on every form nowadays and not sure why I have to mark "white" on mine myself. Drugs are just a small part of increase in gun violence. This isn't a "black thing" or a "white thing". This is a citizen thing. Finally..... However I believe drugs (and gangs) are a huge part of violence (of all types) in many areas. Gun control laws are still strictest in areas with the highest non-white, and especially black populations (New York City, the District of Columbia, Chicago), even in Philadelphia, which is the only place in the Commonwealth of PA you must have a license to open carry. Playboy (liberal rag) had an article on this several years ago, although I can't find a copy of it. I agree that every citizen of sound mind should be responsible for themselves and their neighbors. I also think that any group could be demonized and targeted like the Jews/Gays/Gypies were in almost all of Europe. We have not changed so much in 30 or 60 years. And for you Europeans that think I'm only talking about Americans, I know full well about your Moslem gettos (France), or the riots in Greece.
