Hello everyone, I'm thinking about buying a new laptop and I would like to advise me on which processor is better. I have seen an AMD Athlon X2 M500, which seemed good but I was told that the Intel Core 2 Duo processors are more reliable. Now i have a AMD Turion ML37 (only one core) and i think it's time to change it. Can you help me? :thanks

Yes, I heard that I7 is the best processor for PCs, but i didn't knew that it had adapted for installation on notebooks. I look to see what prices may have, I hope not too expensive... anyway I will focus more on Intel because, from what I heard in a matter of notebooks, are one step ahead of AMD. thanks for your help :thanks

i just think an i7 laptops are way over price the sony vio goes for over 2 gran wut a flop

Sony laptops are pathetic. Very high defect ratio.

Apple are using old chipset due to ongoing problem of nVidia and Intel.

Go for DELL. Comes around 1000$.

I finally decided to buy an AMD Turion IIx2 Ultra(4Gb RAM, 500Gb hard disc, ATI Radeon HD 4530). The core I7 were very expensive for me (1700€), and the core 2 duo for the same price were slower. I'm going to spend 600€ (about 900$). Thank you all for your help. :)
