For me I used a standard silk top but if the edges give way which they do quite quickly for me I then replace it. By the way I play with the keyboard on my lap. Anyone else do this? p.s Crumbs on my mouse pad stir internal anger. And spilt bourbon on a mouse pad like mine slows me down 50 percent. Ow and I can this with it (it's intended to do that => pic from razer site) My mousepad either has to be big enough to fit my keyboard on or small (and thin) enough to fit next to my keyboard without me noticing it's there...
