I mostly change the FOV so the scope is round. If I leave it stock, my scope takes on a rectangular sort of shape. So I read on the internet (where everything is true) how a guy got rid of that by using the FOV settings and the 16x10 or 16x9 settings.

How about these settings? Have you ever messed around with these to see if they help you?

The only thing I do with cod is putting the FOV on 80 (still too low, if I could I go with 120 like I do on wolfenstein)

and the fps are capped at 125.

That's all, but well I never mess with configs to begin with (w:et config is a bit more modded, but even there I don't go extreme)

I'm on a mac, how would I be able to do stuff like this?

i have no idea how Mac works but search for config_mp.cfg and you will find it. Then open it with whatever program you are using for Mac. Im using notepad++ and i think its available for Mac as well (TextWrangler is the name of it).

Add me on xfire if you need any help with the config.

For some of you newer guys, this is drawing a blank, but for us, we have been doing this stuff since cod 1. Anytime a company puts "Do Not Modify" on a file...we are digging in.

If you set up your config_mp.cfg, with some of these changes, to play on FA servers, you might get a rude awakening when it comes to playing on a PB server. Punkbuster monitors a lot

of these changes and won't let you do it.

And before playing with these settings...back up your file beforehand. I make a sub-directory off of the players folder called "Backup Configs". I just copy and paste my original into there

before I make changes. Rename it config_mp.orig so you know what it is. Ignore the command when you save it. Just remember to rename it .cfg to restore it. Then just C&P back into the

original directory and you are on your way again.

I am a pure gamer. I prefer to play the game as it was built and intended to run. I know how to "tweak" my cfg's... I just prefer not to.
