Levi Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I've been having one computer problem lately in which my youtube videos freeze. They can be loaded all the way through but the video freezes and the music keeps playing, and then shortly after the music will stop then its froze then 5-10 seconds later it catches up and plays normal. I'm about to update my graphic drivers, and wireless drivers. Any other ideas you could toss at me would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Jefke Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 First of all: which browser? You can always try to disable/enable hardware acceleration: right mouse button on video => settings => check/uncheck the box Quote
UAdave Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 uninstall/reinstall flash? If you do html5 does it work? (www.youtube.com/html5) Quote
I am Lee Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 (edited) What browser? Firefox, Internet Explore, Opera, Google Chrome, etc... I just had this problem on my firefox browser and it ended up being adobe flash player. I down graded to a older version 10.3.183.29 and videos are playing normal without freezes on youtube. You could try what Drjoske mention by disabling hardware acceleration. Also try disabling some extension and plugin if you have a lot of them. could be one of them that is freezing up browser. Jefke Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 For so long IE has killed the people who uses it so terribly when they come out with a decent IE people still deny it. lol. Nope, it still isn't as good as firefox No adblock, no flashblock, no ghostery, ... So not even close Quote
PiNoY Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 Now back to topic. The norm Youtube videos are based on flash, do you have the latest version your preferred browser and flash version yet? I for one has been a fan of Navigator browser then Firefox when it was first released, never had problems with it that basically I have not solved yet so far, be 32 or 64 bit. Works great for me still. Quote

Heaven:) Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I have a problem like this, but it wasn't with IE, it was with Chrome. Could be the same. Anyway with my chrome, I found out that there are 2 Javas running at the same time. One that came with chrome, one that I downloaded my self. I had to disable one of the plugins in order for it to work. With both plugins running is sometimes causes it to: run slow, crash, not load at all. Get back to me to let me know if it fixes anything. ^^ Quote
