Idea: Map Suggestions having its own directory on the forums

Many players continue to spam about wanting to new maps. I feel that other admins have to be getting annoyed by this. I feel that a reason why this continues to happen is that there is no specific are on the forums to make suggestions. It is usually just a topic that is posted in ET Discussion.

 

I think it would be a great idea to create a separate section for each server. Example: fearless-assassins.com/forums/ET-map-suggestions/jay1, fearless-assassins/forums/ET-map-suggestions/jay2 (I think that is how it would appear but I could be wrong).

When you enter that section the first post should always be "Current Map Rotation."

The second post should contain a direct link set up like this:

Those two post should always remain at the top and be locked so that people cannot spam replies to them.

 

After those two post is where people can post suggestions. It would also be a super mega + if it is possible to delete the suggestions made once a new map rotation has been selected. There is no reason for those suggestions to remain if they were not accepted. If they still wish to suggest that map they can once it is time for a new rotation. If this seems like too much work, I would not mind the responsibility of updating the map rotation list and deleting the old post. I'm very much a neat freak and like things to be highly organized.

 

Doing this I feel will help keep the forums more clean and organized. It will also make this topic easier to find for our members, server regulars, and newbies.

Yeah I like your idea and I think it would probably work best that way. But maybe a sub thread can be made for the Suggestion thread.

Like a thread thats right under the thread that says ET Server . But it would just say ET Map Suggestions

inside that thread should be topics like Map Request Topics - Enemy Territory in there and other notes pinned.

Also on the maps that don't get played for whatever reason: lag, bugged, low fps etc. There should be a list of maps in a separate topic and pinned, I think that would cancel out the spam.
