laggin on nitmod, and jaymod servers!

been playing on NQ3 and jaymod servers and been experiencing some serious lag spikes recently, was wondering maybe if they needed a little rest or etc.... thanks!

I have yet to figure out my problem also. Internet is hi-speed, but my ping is still 170-200. I think it's the servers or just where i'm located. Anyway i get those spikes to that interrupts the game play minor 1second freezes and what not. If you find anything out that may help let me know. Also don't delete, and re-install wolfenstein done it over 5 times this year but still have problems.

Good gaming connection is not about speed but about quality\packet loss. Had same ping with 100kb\s and 5mb\s

So you should check your quality with speedtest or similiar. Also run winmtr if ping jumps a lot, also check out this topic: http://fearless-assassins.com/topic/442-how-to-recognize-your-lag/ which indecates this topic goes under etsupport. Some more info is needed: SS of lagometer and winmtr report.

Just a reminder: SAVE YOUR ETKEY from C:Programs files(games or wherever its located)\ET\etmain. Also save your config files with .cfg extension for backup

(yes with lag usually reinstalling doesnt help especially if you leave all your old files and configs in place as unistall button don´t delete them).

Also I have sometimes lagometer full of redstripes but next day I haven´t so I just don´t pay any intention in N!tmod to it as it don´t effect hitting capabilities anyways;) Can´t understand how is to play in nq fun when you can´t hit a ****

Also try to raise your hunkmegs and soundmegs, about to 160 value or so, depends how much RAM you have. Have to try it also as I´ve got in jaymod recently freezes with sounds, which after some time disappeared.

Defragment your HD(hard drive not high definition videos:P)
