Was just wondering, does anyone have an experience making tin can jets, using RC model jets, or making pulse jets? ajnl Posted October 11, 2012 Author Share Posted October 11, 2012 We decided as a group not to do the tin can jets, but instead try to develop our own type of jet by combining some of the existing jet ideas and adding some new ideas. We'll see how it goes. Our goal is to make a low RPM, high torque jet engine. I've built helicopters, this is in a different ball park. haha. I'd like to see some of them that you've built. I'm also taking a Helicopters course this term, learning all the performance calculations that go with that. What kind of airfoil did you use for the main and tail rotor?
