Would we be able to change which words you get warned for? For example you get auto warned for saying sack, but not shit. Is there a way to put some words in and take some out.

But I agree, you get warned for saying sack in any retrospect, but throw in ball or balls (an equally like word imo) and it doesn't warn you. I'm not even sure it warns for deragatory words against races of people. I can't think of the right term, but I think you get my gist.

I really think that players would feel like there is less freedom if they can't curse, I think it should be allowed, but should be limited. If someone starts to spam, they can get banned, especially if it is directed at players. An auto ban/warn for cursing is just mean, especially if that person doesn't know that it's against the rules in the first place. Either way, it's harmless as long as it is mild and not directed at others.

I don't agree Dddrgn, I think if the F|A servers are going to be "Family" servers, there should be no tolerance for swearing. Some things like Sack and Suck should be taken out, but Balls, and anything racist, as well as ANY swear word should be an auto-warn. You do get 3 warns anyway, if they haven't figured it out by the time 3 warnings have hit you, well that is just to bad.

Auto-warn works fine, especially when there are no admins around.

 

Words can be removed or added but make a list because none of the admins in charge are going to pick up a dictionary and go through every word.

Auto warn works fine in my opinion. Let's them no not to continuously curse or use derogatory terms. There will be an occasional troll who thinks he can swear that many times before he stops but they still get half the concept.

 

 

 

Also would like to throw out, do not warn players for language, I have seen players doing this, let the server do it.

Agreed of course about warning the players, but feel if the autowarn does pick up on a word then admin should warn for it. I too would like to see a list of what is warned for and pumpkin pie and I can work on it.
