Maximo Decimo Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Did anyone here know how to resolve the Banner Brick??? I unintentionally installed a channel corrupted (using wad manager) and now my Wii cannot enter to the main menu (it can enter to the Security Message....press A, and it can access to Recovery mode too). I already bought a modchip (Wasabi DX) which is needed to run backups discs and autoboots. Unfortunatelly, i could have not run any autoboot program and i dont know why. Any advice or help are very welcome. Thanks in advance. Quote
ajnl Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Hey, not sure about unbricking your Wii, but a quick search on google found some stuff that may help. Q: My wii is banner bricked but I don't have Preloader installed, what can i do?A: If you have a NAND Backup and bootmii install as boot2, you can load boot2 and restore with your NAND Backup. If you don't and have cIOSCorp installed or an autobooting Modchip you can use the Autobooting Wad Manager ISO or Universal Unbrick Disc v2 by using SaveMiiFrii. Here is the tutorial on this Link; Tutorial. This website also talks about a Modchip, which is used to bring your Wii back to the way it was when you bought it. The chip costs $50 though, not sure if that is worth it. Link. This last website talks about all the different bricks, for the banner brick it assumes you have the preloader or bootmii installed. Not sure if you have that? Link Quote

This is what i am trying to do. I have burned 2 discs, 1 with wad manager autoboot and 1 with another program but it cannot read it or maybe i burned them in a wrong way. I will keep trying, i dont want let it die jeje. I really appreciate your time ajnl, thank you. Quote
ajnl Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) I don't think you can play CDs that you have burned, on a Wii. Unless you downloaded and installed the Wii unlock hack. Also, the burn disks have to be burned at low speeds (2 to 8x). You can also check to see how much 2nd hand Wiis cost No problem Edited September 9, 2012 by ajnl Quote
