Leader RedBaird Posted September 2, 2012 Leader Share Posted September 2, 2012 Googled "Windows sytem error 1058" and got: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/241584 clipped: When a service suddenly stops, you may receive the following error message: Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. You may also receive this error message when you try to start a service. This issue can occur if the service is disabled or if the service is disabled for the hardware profile that you are currently using. /endClip The page goes on to explain the fix(s), which have similarities to ajnl's response.
