As you know it, in France some good wine is made.

Personally I appreciate High Medoc and Medoc.

"Gewürtztraminer"...white whine...goes well with everything...very tasty

 

check wiki link for synonyms...they are all a bit similar to each other (but not the same)

 

Gewurztraminner is an Alsacian wine very tasty, you can drink it with "choucroute"

Well in America I am not accustomed to good wines. I prefer white over red, just not as bitter and foul smelling. My philosophy "If it doesn't smell good, don't consume it." That being said I like Moscatos, preferrably Wink or Barefoot.

I have only tried 2 wines, one a Don Peron, an the other a white wine from Germany.
