iPhone 5 Specs Rumor

Now that Apple’s next-generation iPhone is in production, a wave of new details is expected. Unfortunately, The Wall Street Journal didn’t bring us anything new on Tuesday. Instead, however, the paper mirrors earlier reports in stating that the sixth-generation iPhone will be noticeably slimmer thanks to the utilization of in-cell touchscreen technology in panels produced by Sharp and Japan Display. The news was first reported by Digitimes several months ago. The Journal also notes that Apple’s new iPhone display will feature a higher quality panel than the current iPhone 4S and iPhone 4S models, but of course we haven’t known Apple to step backwards in terms of display quality on new devices. Apple’s next iPhone is expected to feature a taller design similar to the one pictured in the mockup above, a larger 4-inch display, 4G LTE connectivity and a new smaller dock connector when it launches this fall.
