We learn of these things now, but in reality, they may have very well been able to do this years ago. We learn of these things now, but in reality, they may have very well been able to do this years ago. Don't worry, a virus of this kind isn't written by a lonely teenager in his room but it's written by experienced, damn good, programmers. Everybody knows there are viruses, but most don't know that they should watch out for botnets instead of viruses. Google it and be surprised! Edit: they indeed were able to do this years ago.
