I do not understand. You want to run ET on smartphone or what?

You are not going to have a very stable connection with 3g or even 4g, so I would just look for a cheap DSL provider and get the cheapest plan they have. DSL doesn't have fast download but its latency is solid as a rock and its cheap as dirt in most areas.

No Adryan. I guess he wants to use his mobile phone as a modem, I did it once with mine. If you want to play for 1 hour a day with data package from your mobile phone you definitely need a lot of internet data. 5 mb is not enough, loading a simple page with e.g. news is about 1 mb of size. IMO it's a bad idea. I even think that this internet data package from a mobile device is too slow for playing ET. It's a kind of different internet connection. Your game would be freaking laggy, which means - very high ping - no kills. :P

Now I understand. You're right in what you say. To use your mobile phone as a modem to use the internet packet data phone, I do not think it could because the connection is very slow. ;) Edited by Adryan28

I'd go as far as to say, it is impossible. Almost all the smartphone providers selling internet flatrates don't sell "real" flatrates. It is true that your use of internet on your smartphone is not limited, however, if you use up a certain amount of megabytes, they will drastically reduce your internet speed and then even loading the simplest pages on the internet explorer will take ages. It is one of the small printed clauses in every flatrate contract =)

So, using a smartphone as modem to play ET - sorry to crush your dreams, but it won't happen in the near future.

have a friend, here in germany, he play with a UMTS-stick and he is not the worst :)

so, to Smee´s question, that is what ET need minimum pre hour (inkl. X-fire)

Played it with 3G Smartphone - almost no laggs - sometimes ping went over 300 but only short time.

I think with LTE(4G) u can play it w/o laggs
