Frick Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 This was written back in 2003 when we went to war, I play the guitars and the background vocals, words written by drummer/lead vocalist, arrangement by me. We like to call it Angry white boy protest rap. It's just audio, and yes thats me in the picture. http://youtu.be/YV6oAKm_aGI 3 Quote
Frick Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 This one is closest to my heart and soul, it's the title track of our CD. It's about being in the darkest place in your life and finding out that when you surrender, it's not over yet. The slow movement is called Train and the 2nd movement is called Night Dive (CD Title) Cosmic occurance during recording.. the train you hear going by during the transition between movements wasn't overdubbed, it really did drive by during that part of the recording. We recorded the CD in a shack by a railroad on a PC using Cakewalk. I play the guitars, keyboard and mandolin, and sing the backup vocal. I've always been Interested in off-time music, this was an experiment in 10/8 rhythm and 6/8 rhythm. We put both together at the peak. 10/8 over 6/8.. 10 minutes long, fair warning. http://youtu.be/fkELt0Fu6I8 Quote
Frick Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 Wow thanks Tyrant, I know it's not radio friendly, and most of our songs are either political or introspective, I just hope that they are thought provoking. I can make a few more if it's not considered spamming my thread, and people are interested in hearing more. Quote
.TyrAnt~ Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I am definatly interested! I enjoy music that speaks the truth ^^ I was going to ask you if you could send me a few songs Quote

Frick Posted April 15, 2012 Author Posted April 15, 2012 Ok heres another long one.. it's our atttempt at condensing 11,000 years of war history into 10 minutes, as well as trying to sound middle eastern. It turned out pretty busy despite being a slow song, many guests playing on this one as well. I'm on the 12 string and vocals. Again.. it's not really for easy listening Quote
