shipping costs would add to the total amount in that case + you have to send the laptop to America if something's broken etc etc...

 

alright, so $100 - $200 to ship the computer components from USA to Europe (estimated cost according to amazon)

 

If you buy a 1000 euro computer, in USD that is about 1300

 

So you could buy a 1000 USD computer (which would actually be better than the 1000 euro one) and have 300USD left for shipping.

 

...OR... do what I do.

 

Go to the USA for vacation (1.5 - 2 months) visiting friends and family. While there, buy all the parts and bring them back :P

 

Why do you send your computer in when you have problems? Just look up a fix on google. I've never sent my computers back, those guys are idiots. Apple "geniuses" are stupid too.
