Popular Post docwarren Posted February 3, 2012 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2012 If you are a musician (any level) and would like to share a video of your playing, this is the place. I am very shy about my playing as I play by ear and have never taken any lessons, so please go easy on the critiques. I already know I don't always play the correct notes, so let's get that one outta the way first. First one I am going to post is me playing along with Slipknot- Before I Forget Kevin..... stop focusing on my crotch and my nipple poking through my shirt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bd0qXjrWTg 11 Quote

Popular Post GI-JOE Posted February 9, 2012 Popular Post Posted February 9, 2012 Was debating whether or not I should share this but decided it couldn't hurt :\ It's a couple of years old, bad angle, camera mic was horrible so I turned down the camera audio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTa-ZG5kTVM 26 Quote

GI-JOE Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Sounds sexy Joe!!! Hey Doc don't be shy you are good, my son agrees with me What kit is that Joe? That's a $400 pulse drum kit, nothing fancy! I've upgraded since then. I've got a nice pearl kit now Quote
Zoe Fletcher Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I brought my son a pearl for his birthday but it sounds no way near as sexy as your cheap one!!! Maybe it is because he is in the garage and the sound bounces, once we soundproof it for him I hope it sounds better. 1 Quote

Maybe it is because he is in the garage and the sound bounces, once we soundproof it for him I hope it sounds better. This is why I started this thread. For those that don't think their playing is that good, but wanted a nice place to display their talent no matter what level it is. Great job on both vids. I'm gonna have some more coming of me soon. If you have an old or cheap drum kit that sounds like crap, a few pieces of foam lining the inside and double sticky taped to the bottom of the head will make any kit sound killer. 1 Quote

Popular Post Surprise! Posted February 13, 2012 Popular Post Posted February 13, 2012 Hello Mates! According to Gubbi´s very special demand, I am going to present my musical achievment which I acquired during my study of music (classic percussion and jazz drums). Based on the seriousness of studying classic music, I will desist from "annoying" you with contemporary (and very pretentious) music for which reason I am going to show you a very cute trio on marimba, I played with my fellow students. Maybe needless to mention from my side: I am the (only) guy within the both cute girls....xD Et voilà: 12 Quote

Hand movement depicts true drum playing. You got 2 likes from a drummer mate! 1 Quote
Ow_my_eye Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Don't suppose anyone knows a fast way to post an mp3 here... I was trying to make a video to post but, for the moment, Premiere seems to hate me. Quote
Ow_my_eye Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) OK, here's the big disclaimer. Most of this is keyboard. I only started playing guitar a little less than 5 months ago, so only a bass track, some rythm and a tiny bit of lead at the beginning are real guitar and I'm sorry, but I had to do the solo with a synth. Sorry about the distortion as well, I REALLY suck at audio recording. Also, I was just getting over a cold, so my voice sounds a little snotty and off key, especially on the backup vocals (yes, I'm dubbing my voice over my voice in this, cuz I'm a lousey, cowardly cheater). Sorry this isn't a live vid like you folks have, but I prefer to hide behind Audacity and just mix tracks with it. Hope that's ok. This is an attempt at The Cars "Tonight she Comes", because for some reason, I wish I could go back to the 80's and experience all the horror I now find nostalgic. BTW, there's about a seven second delay before the "music" starts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoa37N-g3Do&feature=youtu.be Edited February 22, 2012 by Ow_my_eye 3 Quote
