Quovadis Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 So I just bought a new videocard , it's a ASUS GTX550 ti . It's working fine but sometimes it starts to bug.My pc start freezing every 3-4 seconds at constant speed. It's not like the pc is slowing , it entitely freeze . I am pretty sure it is videocard related since when it freezes , I can still move my mouse and it will appear where it should be after defrozing ehich makes me guess the computer is stillresponding when it happens. Could it be overheating? It has a fan and a directvu system specially made for keeping it cold . Quote
Papito Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Can you enter safe mode? Delete your driver, try to enter normally and update your driver. ASUS GTX550 Quote
TulsaGeoff Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I'd just go with normal certified drivers from NVIDIA. To see if it is overheating, download furmark and run it while looking at your temperature. It should not reach 90C. Quote
Quovadis Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 Okk thanks , I'll look into that when I get home. Quote
Vanaraud Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Did you have old BIOS\OS\graphics before installed? Might need to refresh them all. Quote
