Silent Lag

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to know if I was the only one to get more and more lags on Silent server. It's not really often but when it happens , it lags every 5-10 sec for the rest of the map . You simply see everyone in the game freezing and then 1 sec later they warp to another place. It seems to be fixed once the map is finished . Oh and I looked if it could be me but it isn't (and I got a 60mb connection so).

Ive noticed some intermitent lag but I see it only very rarely 1 or 2 times a map maybe. Run winmtr from the link got lag? in below my sig make sure it is happening at the server and not in between you and server please. Ill do the same.

it happened to me on Jay3 but it was so fast that i could not capture the meter lag.

once it occurs, you just warp to another nearby place and once u appear there, the lag is gone.

i was downloading a big file and it didnt cut off when that lag appeared, so i dont think its my internet connection.

It doesn't seems like it's client side lag because normally, you lag in battle and the next second you are dead . But with the type of lag I'm talking of, you dont get killed because nobody can hit others. I also asked on the server and everyone sais it was lagging alot. Anyways I'll download the soft and post results as soon as its lagging again.

First column is % of packet loss (PL) the second column is the amount of packets sent the next columns are the ping.

Your internet provider is the best to help you with this, However.. disconnect the power from your cable/dsl modem and your router leave them unplugged for about 1 minute. Then plug in the power on the modem let all the lights light up and then connect the power to your router, let it go thru its power on cycle. At this point you may have to restart your computer.

Make sure you can connect to internet ( just start your browser) if you are connected to the internet run winmtr again (let it run for 300 or so sent packets) and see if its better if not call your isp for more trouble shooting.
