Dddrgn
Hm... new hard drive, so there can't be any files from steam left over to make it glitch out like this. I'm not quite sure what to do, maybe there is an answer for you in the FAQ on steam's website.
Jefke
Important: Some users have reported that restarting your computer in Safe Mode allows Steam to update successfully. try that XD

ajnl
Ok, so just to get this straight. Did your old hard drive break and so you had to put in a new one? Or did you add a new one?

ajnl
don't you think this is quite useless now? Of course it is useful. I wondering if the old one broke and he re-installed everything. or he put in a new hard drive, uninstalled steam from old hard drive, and is installing it again on the new one. old files from the old hard drive may be the issue. If the old one broke, then we're back at square one. Hope I'm posting this in the right spot :\ I tried to reinstall Steam since I just got my new hard drive.
