Iw3Mp.exe Has Stopped Working

This is the error message I get when trying to start up my cod4 game. Help plz that's a window error message I run vista

This is what i normally do:

Plug in a microphone or headphones into the microphone/headphone jack to play the game.

Same thing happens to me when I open Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Usually after 2-10 times of trying to open the game, it works. This might be a running as admin issue, but I don't know how to make the game ask to run as admin when opened through xfire.

This tends to be a REALTEK Audio driver issue, especially if you're also using a stereo headset / mic during play ...

 

Possible EASY fix ...

- right click on the SPEAKER VOLUME icon down in the lower right System tray

- select "recording devices" from the pop-up window

- right click any of the items, and in the pop-up select "show disabled devices"

- you should NOW see the STEREO MIX icon, looks like a PCI sound card

- enable it !

- APPLY / SAVE / OK / EXIT

WOW I am a dumbass!!!! lmao My son is lol at me after I read the post and looked down and my heaDPHONES were not plugged in!!!!!! HAHA I blamed George Bush my wife and kids for this not working for 3 days hahahahahha

Don't feel bad. I went a week when the game first came out before I learned the mic thing.

i dont see how this game or why it req headphone to play...I play with Speakers until Now, cuz i got some sexy/super good skullcandy headphone

if youre on vista it should be right mouse click and then run as administrator
