TuNNel-Rat Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Gotcha, as much as campers think they can rack up the frags from a single location the same is true for the ppl who die continuously from them (more often than not). If your opponent is the impatient vengeful type he'll keep coming back to attempt to kill you. You'd think "once bitten twice shy" but like KingsFan said about getting burned... I had to drop that 'go back' technique a while ago, when I sometimes played with approximately 3 persons. That guy always killed me, and then left a claymore for me With 20 people online, campers generally think they can get a few more kills from the same spot. Only people good with claymores come away with that nowadays... Before my time on your server but that sounds like something I would do Rolf I like using the sharpshooter profile with the UAV jammer perk, occupy a bldg, rig the site with clays and take out a few targets. If it starts heating up, Ill just relocate without a trace to the chagrin of the OpFor. This is esp fun when they come back pissed about being blown up looking for revenge only to find an empty bldg. Additionally I think that a difference should be identified between camping (from lack of sckill or lack of knowledge of the map or pure fright), and occupying a key strategic position on a map. Sometimes well placed explosives and a Saw can be a great way to suppress the OpFor buying your troops time to get back into the firefight, or reduce the will of the enemy to seek another route. Key examples include maps like Downpour where there really are only 3 main routes with the middle sub-divided into 2 paths, Pipeline's tunnel system, and Crash where a well placed sniper and hidden clays can keep the enemy force at bay. Buelligan Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I was going to ask what's the difference between camping and sniping? Maybe I'm too much of a noob to know! lol Anyhow, it's all part of the game and full marks to having a "no complaining" policy. Quote
OwnsUNoobz Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Camping is sitting in one spot with a weapon other than a sniper rifle waiting for enemies to come to you.Sniping is sitting in one place with a sniper rifle picking off opponents from long range.Relocating when you're under fire. 1 Quote
Capt.JackSparrow Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 i find that i live longer when i camp and kill more sometimes but not all the time, but killing other campers i find pretty easy often more times then not. Quote
