Coldwar Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) Its been a long time since I've written anything but here's two of them, they are written in the form of sonnets: Dreamy Rendition slouched shoulders Weighed down by all of the injustices crushed by boulders they are no more then cleopatra's to your augustus' its just fate part of a greater vision nine lives down to eight due to indecision learn from the past and attack the present move quick, adapt fast dodge whats coming and not what just went shed your pasts banshee because progress lies in ambition close your eyes and see where you want to be search the answers to life's problems in your dreamy rendition Generation Lost as time goes on the realization hits honesty ages like innocence as the yearly trees will shed a leaf the lies that lie on our tongues will eventually leave for it is naturely nature whose course repeats for a path is hard not to travel once they become streets we look up to our elders for wisdom and guidance but all you will find is subsidence Like all those prior, none the wiser, merely more clever with their lip When the hollow subsides don't lose your grip One day you will let go from shear exhaust Fall down the abyss and read the signs: Another Generation Lost Edited April 25, 2011 by *Evil*Thuggin Quote

Slayerz Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 i wrote back in high school for a girl that i knew died in a car wreck It sounds so fun, driving around in the sun. She was so innocent, young, and sweet. She had the world right at her feet. Who would have known that she would die, leaving everyone she touched to grieve and to cry? Into the car she got so fast, She didn't know that today was her last. It all came up to fast for sight, But she didn't give up without a fight. Her funeral was the saddest day of my entire life. Reality cut through me like a knife. In another place in another time, Her life no longer a part of mine. Quote

icky?/ Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 This isn't one I wrote, its actually the oldest written words (12th Century) in dutch found (somewhere on the back page in a bible, presumably penned by a monk) and I think it's beautiful that the oldest written words in my language are about love, so i just had to share it: Old Dutch: Hebban olla vogala nestas hagunnan hinase hic enda thu. Wat unbidan we nu English: Have all birds begun nests, except me and you. What are we waiting for. Very short and for some perhaps very silly, but it still evokes great emotion in me everytime I read it, just makes me wanna feel in love and long for autumn. PS: I write some poetry from time to time, but its in dutch, I'll try to translate some in the next days, but if I feel I can't keep the same feeling off the poems in another language, I'll drop it. Rogelio Santibañez Yañez Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 A short "standup" poem lets see how this ends up ... Crooked minds, blood spilled Bullets and guns no peace, always war no room for the "kind" let's break loose and unwind disagree to agree create peace change the present to say the past "never it never happened" we have a chance to rewind a new story for the upcoming generation clean and pure stories parables, primary resources no pain in our hearts create a future for those with no hope everlasting happiness long lasting memories flowers and life pencils and paper sane minds, clean hands -random much? i guess i thought about peace and love among us all.
