Stable 125Fps but lags like 20Fps

Hi Guys,

since i have ET last week new installed, it always start to lag when i start to shot or get hit.

I have stable 125 Fps also when i shot or get hit but it looks as 20 Fps. It warps and lags thats not funny.

I have try to reduce Fps to 71 but the same here if i go infight it looks like 20 Fps. And its on all

Servers, 10,25 or 40 players on, its no difference always lags infight the same way.

 

Ok a little bit (very little) it was bevor i new installed on Servers with many Players to but now its really hard

and on all Servers.

However only Player lags or looks like 20 fps, Bots move smooth. How can that be?

 

Anyone a idea?

Which anti virus and firewall you use: AntiVir, Firewall is on Router (Win-firewall is off), MS-Defender.

 

The Problem is with and without Antivir. And it's since i new install et (bevor all was ok). PB i have updatet after install with PB-Setup.

Your hardware specs are fine and should run ET good, unless you have 2 instances of ET running which happens because sometimes ET doesn't get closed.

 

Possible to post your in game lagometer screenshots? You should min get 60 stable FPS with your PC specs.

 

Lagometer screenshots can tell if you are having problems with your PC, internet, CPU, etc.

when i spec other players, and they are infight lagometer (server blue line) starts many yellow parts i have seen.

When they not infight or i am just in spec normaly blue line is only blue sometimes a short yellow part.

i try to make a sc infight from a player to and edit than this post.

Ye well, I have that same kind of problem on big servers, I mean its server side problem. 2 possibilities afaik: 1. Server can't handle that amount of info, and is lagging for all players. 2. Your i-net is not capable of handling the info, poor quality lines maybe? Or long distance to the nearest base station/ whatever it is called?

ok at big servers i know thats normally, but i didnt have this prob bevor i new installed et.

And i have this problem on all servers, also in 1v1 and i think 2 players for all bad servers to handle.

it causes only infight, when i stand near a infight player, but myself not infight, no yellow parts there no warping like 20fps they move smooth.

when i go infight or spec a player how is infight than the enemy warps like hell.

Too many yellow - Extrapolation and I assume it happens because of your ping fluctuation or so.

Check my green line on F|A Euro server. I am from US.

 

 

It stays perfectly green through out. Infight or in spec.

My Autoexec

Remove all the b_xxx cvars if you are not playing ETpro from same installation.

 

Here is my suggestion if you are playing ETpro from same installation:

1. autoexec.cfg - Generic config.

2. jaymod.cfg

3. etpro.cfg - mod specific configs.

 

add line cg_autorate 1 and remove seta rate "25000"

Try com_maxfps 100 and cl_maxpackets 100

Remove g_smoothclients - It's useless.

 

Also try r_mode 4.

 

Also make sure you are not using 100% CPU while playing game.

Thanks a lot daredevil. I do as you say (have delete all my etconfig.cfg in mod's).

 

Yes i play also etpro and have to make a own cfg for etpro than. or i make a complete install for etpro.

 

It looks better, but have to play a little bit to say more.

I will give a feedback tomorrow.

Do you have any idea why it works befor with this config and after i installed et new it wont work?

No idea bro. Trial and error.

 

All I see from your lagometer screenshot was your ping is fluctuating by good amount. More or less rate '25000' will not work good with 32+ slot server depending on what mod it is.

 

Yellow thing shows up either because of:

1. Client CPU starvation.

2. Server BW/CPU Issue. ( We don't have any )

3. Mod issues.

4. Timenudge.

5. High HD I/O on client side.

 

There could be many but thats I know of. Also, I suggest to avoid use of 'seta' commands. I suggest to use 'set'.

Tested on Recruiting Server for 2 maps and its even better. Not the same as with my old installation but really better as bevor, thanks to you.

Perhaps with the installation is something wrong, i try to reinstall later (or better not ).

My Cpu is only about 60% when et runs so that couldnt be the problem i think.

 

p.s. seta will be changed to set
