Actually for the same reason most cabriolets are havier than the normal coupe-variant; the roof brings strength with it. The reason for that is not only that the roof is of metal, but also the B-pillar, the pillar right behind the front doors. In a cabriolet you don't have this B-pillar, so the chassis has to be strengthened. So actually, the strength of this car should be comparable with that of a cabriolet, however, I don't expect this care to have the same modifications as required for the cabriolet. It is possible to achieve this, but that car in the TS isn't. Quote
