Vice86 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 in 1999 when the game was released i drove 12 KM with my bycicle to the next big city to get the GB game in blue edition, while my best friend bought himself the red edition... we didn´t expect it to be 69.- DM, because usually Gameboy games came out at a price of 59.- DM, so we both only took 60 with us. however, we asked the cashier lady if my friend is allowed to call his mother who worked in the same city closeby, who then came and gave us the remaining money. well, she was quiet dissapointed that we just did that, because as 13 year olds of course we weren´t allowed to go that far without permission. she then left again. Then when we drove home, i had a flat tire on my bike, so i had to push my bike home by foot the remaining 7 km. well... i came home around 19:00 by foot with a flat tire, not beeing at home the whole day. guess who was grounded after that with no TV and no Gameboy... so there i was sitting in my room with my odysee of a brandnew game, and couldn´t play it, and owed my friends mother 9 bucks... as a 13 year old. sometimes shit just hits the fan... but yes, i like pokemon. 2 1 Quote
White Raven Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) When i was a kid me and the neigbour kids used to play 'tournaments' with our Pokemon cards, many collected them Also if someone had Pokemon red, silver... etc edition on gameboy a couple of others would join in to watch the guy play xD because some didn't have it on gameboy like me so i was usually the one watching them play. But i had some collection of cards as well. I got a gameboy as a gift from some friends of my parents in early 2000's and i still have it 😄 Edited April 2 by White Raven 1 1 Quote
