I am surprised by this referees decision, why didn't he award a penalty kick? He also disallowed a goal due to a foul. Why wasn't this rule applied in the Argentina vs. Algeria match, where Messi goal was counted? Or is VAR not working 🤣This refereeing is a failure, and it seems there will be more scandals in the upcoming matches.

It seems the final match teams are already decided its either France or Spain vs Argentina.

Look, if you're referring to the ball that Julian Alvarez cleanly took from Salah (see the video at 9:35), you can see it here. VAR wasn't even needed because the cameras were very clear; it was a clean tackle, and then he tries to extend his foot to advance and collides with Salah's. He had already taken the ball.

You can say whatever you want, but there was nothing strange about it today.
Anyone can win the World Cup, but to say that someone is favored because you don't like a certain country seems to show a lack of football knowledge, especially since it's just because you don't like something or someone.

Nothing strange , Lack of football knowledge well yeah sure.

Bro , I'm not the only one talking about this match. You can look at social media and you'll see most people criticizing the refereeing and the number of fouls called for one side and not the other. I am not the only one who noticed this and spoke out. There are also retired Premier League players, former referees, and a coach who spoke about what happened. There is also Claudio Lopez who spoke about yesterday. Are they watching another match or do they lack knowledge like me as you mentioned. 😅

There are also two points I don't want to talk about, but they must be mentioned: the abrupt end of the interview with the Egyptian national team player and the throwing of beer cans at Egyptian fans after the draw.😕

And btw the video is unavailable.:)

It seems incredible, but another World Cup starts in just over two months!

As always, passion is the best part of a World Cup. In my country, the World Cup is experienced with great intensity!

There are some great teams that could win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. As many know, the World Cup will be played in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/worldcup/canadamexicousa2026/scores-fixtures?country=&wtw-filter=ALL

In my opinion, past champions always have an advantage: prestige, and their style of play has left its mark on past World Cups.

These teams, as everyone knows, are:

Brazil (5): 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, 2002.
Germany (4): 1954, 1974, 1990, 2014.
Italy (4): 1934, 1938, 1982, 2006.
Argentina (3): 1978, 1986, 2022.
France (2): 1998, 2018.
Uruguay (2): 1930, 1950.
England (1): 1966.
Spain (1): 2010.

And for you, who are the favorites to win this World Cup?

For me, of these teams, Brazil, Germany, France, and Spain are the top contenders. And Argentina, of course, from the bottom of my heart, I'm adding this, and I'll leave you with this beautiful Coca-Cola commercial, where coach Scaloni tells us that we're not going there to win, but to defend it—very moving!

As I said in my first post, those who have been champions have that extra something, that prestige. The results of this World Cup proved me right.

Now, anyone can win. Four former champions who have already lifted the World Cup will be looking to lift it once again:

Spain vs. France (Tuesday)

Argentina vs. England (Wednesday)

Good luck to everyone, and may the best team win!

I'm sad that Norway lost but it is what it is. And I couldn't watch the match either, I was in a hotel in Germany, where Quarter finals aren't shown on any channel other than one that you must pay... so didn't watch it. 😥

I'm hoping for France to win again this year and that we will get revenge from Argentina this time if we meet again. 🙃

France can win against Spain, I have faith. We have so many great players on this team.

Just because Claudio López or three former referees give their opinions on TV doesn't make them the owners of the absolute truth . Football is full of divided opinions . BTW conspiracy theories fall apart on the field 😄
