Is there a way to translate the game into Arabic, and does the engine support that?

yes u can  ...  you would have to unpack the games stringfiles.... like menu text.

 

translate the English text to Arabic and repack them. but the original  engine does not support  arabic script .... u would have to hack the font rendering engine.  not recommended......

 

the engine it self does not support right to left and entangled letters.

 

so  easy answer would be you could look for a  arabic mod  there is no  official  arabic translation.  maybe try searching splash damage for a  mod someone made already. 

 

but it might not work on  fa servers. 

 

maybe @RNGesus could answer this better than me....

ETL supports localization via the etmain/locale/ however no font with Arabic script and I cannot locate anyone that has created the .po for it. As @captnconcrete mentioned ETL currently does not support RTL languages. I myself have no working knowledge of Arabic at all. I would not be able to assist in translation. RTL languages have been briefly discussed by ETL dev team however many more game breaking visual bugs are currently the priority. Such as ETL mod planes zooming through buildings at times when canister is partially blocked and no air strike happens. 
 

 

I am editing this post as I noticed it was titled for the game Wolfenstein 2009 which is not a game I have knowledge in. This game is separate and the above post was related to enemy territory I apologize for any confusion I have caused. 
 

@captnconcrete I was not aware we had Wolfenstein 2009 servers. I should of glanced the entire topic before responding I am sorry
