War graves 1st world war @ ieper

Today i visited ieper,

Known for the fights here around the hills and border of nord france during world war 1

I always have this ET feeling when i am here. I live around 20km from here and france border. All fields around my house are wargraves from american, brittish, france and belgium militarys. Some here will say aaand the dutch... well they got overrun back in the days haha xD luckely we have better dutch ET players here with us 😄

anyways i wanted to share this feeling with you guys.

Nice photos! I was there a few years ago, the Last Post ceremony at the city gate always feels special to experience.

yeah ww2 they bombed Rotterdam completely and threatened to do the same to Utrecht so we gave up

My great grandad names is etched on there , also my grandad fought in WW2 was one of the very first royal marines that fought in Normandy and is buried at bayeux in France war memorial cemetery. X

I noticed in this photo that the rifle, the boots and other gear seem to have been re-painted brown over the years.

We have so many ww1 and ww2 memory place around here. We visit them on 1st of november as it is our day to remember these who no longer are with us and after we visit our family graves we go and leave a light to these who never came back whoever they were. I live on worlds war playground. Carpathian mountains in Poland. Close to Slovakia and Ukraine.

I've been to a lot of ww1 and ww2 sites all throughout Europe over the last 20 years. truly awe-inspiring and humbling. Amazing pictures, my friend.

I was actually there back in 2013 when I was visiting Foy and other sites from The Battle Of The Bulge and its locations.
