Discord login problems

I joined Discord today and accepted the pop-up window.

However, I can only see one channel (validation-required) where I am supposed to enter the reCaptcha code, but unfortunately, this does not work. When I click on “Regenerate,” I get an error message (see screenshot).

 

And i hope this is the right section, if not can anybody move it to the correct section?

I am not one of the Discord Managers, but I can see in the logs that "wOOtiTv" joined, quit and then rejoined.

 

Your account was given the role "need verification" both times that you joined.

 

I will try to inform a Manager about this situation.

There is currently an issue with the Discord bot

? What it means

1. reCAPTCHA Verification Required
   The server uses a bot to prevent spam. To gain access, you must solve a Google reCAPTCHA challenge.

2. Link Expired
   The red text at the bottom (Diese Interaktion ist fehlgeschlagen. = “This interaction has failed”) means the reCAPTCHA link expired (they usually last 15 minutes).

3. Button Failed
   Clicking the “Regenerate” button didn’t work, likely because:

   • The bot is misconfigured or temporarily offline.

   • You waited too long, and the link expired before clicking.

   • Discord permissions for the bot are broken.

 

✅ How to fix it

1. Request a New Captcha

   • Click the “Regenerate” button again.

   • If it still fails, leave and rejoin the server — this usually triggers a new verification link.

2. Try on Desktop & Mobile
   Sometimes verification links only work properly on desktop or mobile (depending on how the bot is set up). Try both.

3. Check Pop-up Blockers / VPN
   Make sure your browser isn’t blocking Google reCAPTCHA. If you’re on a VPN, try turning it off and retrying.

4. Contact Server Admins
   If none of the above works, the bot may be broken. Message a server admin or moderator (if possible) and let them know the verification bot isn’t working.

 

Obviously, many of these steps have been taken to know now it's going to be the bot issue as @Scarface pointed out. But I am posting this to clarify what exactly this is for the others who have been asking. 

 

 

Best we can do for the time being is to invite people with links we manually generate or generate a permanent link to join. This just will not sync the profile forums for now until there is a fix. Once fixed should be as simple as leaving the server and rejoining just as before as nothing ever happened.

That is how!  ?  Thanks for reporting the problem!  

 

It could be that a change in some part of the Discord system "broke" our bot!    (or a cosmic ray flipped a bit  )

Cosmic rays are much more damaging to both information systems and DNA than most people usually acknowledge ?
