Sick Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I’ve always wondered, is the point of double necked to get two different tunings, without the headache of swapping guitars/retuning between songs/mid song, say drop D on top and standard or other variations on the bottom? Doodlebug Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I believe that traditionally the upper neck would be a 12-string and the lower a 6-string. But you can see in the pic that the upper has 7-strings (usually adding an additional lower string). I've never heard of people using a double neck for two tunings but stranger things have occurred. 1 Quote
