Tomato Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I found this great config that should fix a lot of the fps problems people are having. Download it from attachment.. When you start it you will have to fix your resolution/controls/etc. To turn off the FPS and Lagometer use these commands in game: /cg_drawFPS 0 /drawLagometer 0 Place it in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty black ops\players config_mp.cfg 4 Quote
Administrators daredevil Posted November 14, 2010 Administrators Posted November 14, 2010 Added it as attachment so they can download it instantly Quote

Matty_c Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 They look like console commands to me. Try using the ~ key to open the console and then typing the commands shown. Quote

Cannibal Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Still nobody is saying exactly what to do with this. Does it replace a folder in Black Ops somewhere? Do I manualy change all the options settings to these one at a time? Are they console commands? Please any help is appreciated. I'm having a hard time enjoying BO with my fps dropping to horrible levels whenever I shoot or get shot. It's so frustrating. Quote
Duckie Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Cannibal, check out the first post again... place it here Place it in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty black ops\players There should be a file called config_mp.cfg to replace it. You need to swap it out with this one. If steam isn't in C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam, try C:\Program Files\Steam BTW. Why does this thing remove clan tag? wtfz. Quote
Tomato Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 The clan tag is just one setting in the config, and I left it empty by accident when I submitted it. Quote
Cannibal Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Duck the instructions weren't there yet when I posted A big thankyou to Tomato and Duckie for helping me out. I got it installed and so far I'm running great. I even used the FAL! Quote
