ET Suggestion Best Ways To Reduce Lag *updated

Hello.

 

I had a problem, recently and I decided to post my advice for players who are having issues with the internet connection during the game or may experience lag sometimes.

 

First of all, I bought a new laptop from HP which has AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 2300U w/ Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx   2.00 GHz and I experienced lag in the main menu and also in the game while trying to play...it was basically impossible.

 

Because this is a new model of processor , I recommend you to disable all the graphics advanced settings while playing the game such as these ones from the screenshot attached.

 

Personally, I did not have the necessary time to test these settings on some new games, but for this one ,specifically I did not see any improvement , so far. 

 

With these settings disabled, the game is running decent now , even on the laptop. 

 

 

 

 

Also I found some additional information posted by  @Ace a few years ago, on the forum, as well and I used the following settings: 

 

/cl_maxpackets 100

/rate 25000

/snaps 40

/com_maxfps 85

 

 

However you may add some extra performance by using the Razer Cortex: Game Booster which can be used to disable some of the unnecessary programs to have a smooth gaming experience.

 

In you have an older pc or laptop , I recommend to change it's HDD to an SSD and also add some RAM memory if it's possible and of course a decent internet connection with at least 100 MB/s.
