Band: Southern All Stars / サザンオールスターズ

Song: Midsummer's fruit / 真夏の果実

 

Southern All Stars front man and writer Keisuke Kuwata draws heavily on American folk influence, and the band songs have a unique blend of Japanese and American styles, making it easy to listen for Westerners.

This is now an old song (1990), but i keep coming back to it for the last 20 years..

 

 

Additional background :

- This song was written as part of a movie soundtrack (Inamura Jane).

- This song was covered by Cantopop main singer in 1990ies Jackie Cheung (每天爱你多一些), which was a huge success and greatly contributed to his initial raise to stardom.
